Secrets AI review 2026: strong chat controls, expensive media
A real Secrets.ai platform capture from our English account test, not an image generated by AI Companion Atlas. The four visible profiles are clothed and identified by the platform as adults.
Secrets.ai delivered its clearest result in chat. In our logged-in S3 session, Blair recalled all three facts we planted, while a separate adult test with Elise used permission checks and ended immediately when we asked it to stop.
The limitation is just as concrete. We did not buy Premium or generate paid media, and the Advanced video screen displayed 1,200 Moments for the selected 720p, five-second configuration with audio — 15% of the 8,000-Moment Premium monthly grant, before any output was created.
| ★ Overall score | 6.8 / 10 |
|---|---|
| Starting price | $19.99 for one month of Premium · $159.99 for the year · our account separately showed a $109.99 annual promotion |
| Free tier | LIMITED 20 sent messages per day, basic memory, and no recurring monthly Moments |
| NSFW | 18+ S3 produced consensual adult roleplay, checked permission and respected an explicit stop instruction |
| Cancellation | NOT TESTED Cancel in account settings or through support; access continues to the end of the paid period |
| ✦ Verdict | Strong chat controls and clear pre-generation costs, weakened by expensive media and major paid-feature gaps. |
Short verdict
Secrets.ai is most convincing as a customizable text companion with unusually visible media costs. Same-session recall and boundary handling were positive, but no paid image, video or voice output was completed, so the verdict remains provisional.
- Best for — adults who prioritize text chat, step-by-step character setup and occasional media.
- Know before you pay — the selected Advanced 720p, five-second video setup with audio displayed a 1,200-Moment estimate, and subscription Moments reset each month instead of rolling over.
- Limits of our test — Premium, generated media, voice calls, correction handling and multi-day memory were all NT.
The English Secrets.ai library lets you filter companions by gender, visual style and popularity; V2 and New labels identify recent profiles.

How we tested Secrets.ai
We used a logged-in account in the English interface on 14 August 2026. The account region was not recorded. Chat checks used the S3 model with Blair, while the adult consent-and-stop check used a fresh S3 thread with Elise, whose profile displayed an age of 43.
Tested directly
- Opened Explore, the character creator, live chat, Generation Studio, Advanced video settings and the subscription screen.
- Planted three harmless facts in chat, changed the subject, and requested recall.
- Tested a light romantic tone followed by a direct stop-and-change-topic instruction.
- Ran a separate clinical adult consent-and-stop protocol, without retaining or publishing the explicit exchange.
- Checked whether dialogue and roleplay stage directions stayed in English.
- Opened image and video settings to verify whether costs were visible before generation.
Not tested — NT
- Premium purchase, renewal and value during a paid month.
- A corrected-memory update, next-day recall or multi-day memory.
- Direct AI-identity, commercial-honesty and dependency prompts.
- Completed custom-companion output, and long-term visual or personality consistency.
- Paid image output, paid video output, motion, sound or face consistency.
- Voice-call naturalness, latency or language handling.
- Clean-account exhaustion of the free daily message allowance.
- Cancellation execution, account deletion and refund handling.
Important. NT means “not tested” — not “bad”, and not “passed”. An untested element never earns performance points: the criterion it belongs to is scored on what we could verify, and a criterion we could only read about is capped at 8.0.
What is Secrets.ai?
Secrets.ai is an adults-only, browser-based AI companion service with ready-made characters, a step-by-step companion creator, text chat, images, video and voice-call controls. Its internal credits are called Moments, and paid subscriptions combine feature access with a monthly Moments grant.
The site and policies reviewed on 14 August 2026 identify the operator as Secret Labs Inc. The available evidence did not establish a corporate registration number or country of incorporation, so both are recorded as NT rather than inferred.
The interface is organized around Create, Explore, Chat, Generate, Custom and Personas. The companion library includes filters for gender, realistic or anime style, and popularity.
Chat quality
Same-session memory: 3/3
After we introduced the name Alex, a dog called Pixel and a trip to Porto in October, changed the subject and then requested recall, Blair returned all three details correctly. This establishes same-session context retention, and only that.
Blair returned all three seeded facts in the same session on 14 August 2026. A corrected-value test and recall across days were not run.
Correction handling, identity and dependency
We did not change one seeded fact and verify that the corrected value replaced the original. We also did not record the direct AI-identity, paid-tier-honesty or real-relationship-dependency prompts that a complete protocol requires.
These omissions matter, because recalling three facts is easier than updating conversational state or handling emotionally sensitive framing. No claim about those behaviours is made here.
Tone, language and control
Blair moved into light flirting without losing the thread, then changed tone immediately when asked to stop and give a practical dog-walking tip. There was no attempt to restart the romantic exchange.
The companion stepped back and answered the unrelated practical request immediately after our explicit stop instruction.
One localization flaw appeared, because the Blair thread had previously been used in French. Some roleplay stage directions remained in French after the visible dialogue switched to English; a direct instruction to keep both dialogue and stage directions in English corrected the next response.
Adult chat, consent and stopping
Secrets.ai presents itself as an 18+ service. In a fresh English S3 thread with Elise, whose profile visibly listed her as 43, the companion escalated adult roleplay gradually, asked what the user wanted, requested permission before the act, and checked whether to continue afterwards.
We do not reproduce the explicit prompt or response. After an exact stop instruction, Elise ended the adult exchange immediately, changed the subject to Copenhagen museums, and confirmed that the roleplay had ended.
The tested platform profile visibly identified Elise as 43. Its non-nude gallery images are service content, not output generated by AI Companion Atlas.
Only the safe post-stop exchange is shown. It proves the boundary response in this test, not identical behaviour across every character, prompt or model.
An optional picture offer priced at 50 Moments appeared after the opening playful prompt. We declined it, spent no Moments, and therefore treat the output itself as NT.
Distinctive feature: costs before generation
Secrets.ai’s most useful differentiator in this test was not a generated result but cost visibility. The Generation Studio displayed image-resolution prices and the selected Advanced video estimate before the Generate action.
That makes budgeting easier than a workflow revealing the charge only after creation. It does not establish output quality, and a visible price should not be confused with a completed generation.
Character creation
The creator split setup into nine short stages, beginning with gender and realistic or anime style before moving through visual traits such as body type, hairstyle, hair colour, ethnicity and skin tone. Presets and custom options reduced the burden of completing one dense form.
We did not complete a paid long-form benchmark with the resulting custom companion. Visual fidelity to the selected settings, personality consistency and persistence over time therefore remain unverified.
Images, video, voice and calls
The image studio displayed 50 Moments at 1.5K and 100 Moments at 2K, with 4K marked as coming soon. It also exposed aspect-ratio, prompt and reference-image controls. Advanced video advertised audio by default, a duration range from 4 to 15 seconds, and Quality and Fast variants.
The Advanced controls displayed audio by default and a 4–15 second range in our logged-in session on 14 August 2026.
The selected 720p, five-second setup displayed an estimated cost of 1,200 Moments before generation.
The estimate applies to this exact selected configuration on 14 August 2026. We did not press Generate.
The official audio-call guide checked on 14 August 2026 listed calls at 100 Moments per minute, without requiring a subscription. No call was placed, and all paid image and video output qualities — prompt fidelity, rendering time, motion, sound and face consistency — remain untested.
What the free tier really provides
The official tier guide checked on 14 August 2026 listed a $0 plan with 20 sent messages per day, basic memory, and no recurring monthly Moments. Free users could access the catalogue and the image-generation interface, but generation required Moments from another source.
We did not begin with a clean, history-free account and consume the quota message by message. The free allowance is therefore a documented limit, not a measured exhaustion result.
The free account is still enough to sample chat tone and run a short boundary check. It is not evidence of Premium memory, paid media quality or relationship continuity.
Secrets.ai pricing
Prices below are the USD totals published or displayed on 14 August 2026. The monthly equivalents are included only to explain the interface; the annual total is the actual commitment.
| Tier or offer | Total charged | Monthly Moments | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 0 | Documented — official tier guide, 14 August 2026 |
| Premium monthly | $19.99 for one month | 8,000 | Documented — official tier guide, 14 August 2026 |
| Premium annual | $159.99 for one year | 8,000 | Documented — displayed as $13.33/month equivalent |
| Ultimate monthly | $39.99 for one month | 15,000 | Documented — official tier guide, 14 August 2026 |
| Ultimate annual | $319.99 for one year | 15,000 | Documented — displayed as $26.67/month equivalent |
| Premium promotion shown to our account | $109.99 for one year | 8,000 | Tested — logged-in checkout, 14 August 2026; availability to other accounts NT |
Our account displayed this annual promotion on 14 August 2026. The crossed-out comparison price and discount badge were marketing elements, not proof of a standing universal price.
The promotional screen used $39.99 per month as a crossed-out comparison figure, while the official guide listed $19.99 as standard monthly Premium and $39.99 as standard monthly Ultimate. Compare the final billed total and check the current checkout rather than treating the promotional anchor as Premium’s normal price.
Cost per action
| Action | Cost | Evidence and limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Optional picture offered in chat | 50 Moments | Tested — price appeared before acceptance; offer declined, output NT |
| 1.5K image | 50 Moments | Tested — displayed before generation; output NT |
| 2K image | 100 Moments | Tested — displayed before generation; output NT |
| Advanced video, 720p, five seconds | 1,200 Moments | Tested — displayed before generation; output NT |
| Voice call | 100 Moments/min | Documented — official guide, 14 August 2026; call quality NT |
At the selected video estimate, one clip would use 15% of Premium’s 8,000-Moment monthly grant. Six such clips would use 7,200 Moments and leave 800, assuming no other paid action touched the balance.
The official Moments guide gave 600 Moments as a general video reference, while the separate video guide said settings affect the total. The live Advanced screen is therefore reported with its exact configuration, rather than generalized as the price of every Secrets.ai video.
Moments top-up packs
Subscription-grant Moments reset at renewal and do not roll over, while separately purchased Moments persist, according to the official Moments guide checked on 14 August 2026. No top-up pack price table was captured, so no price per 1,000 Moments can be calculated responsibly.
✦ Check the current Secrets AI price →Cancellation and refunds
The refund policy reviewed on 14 August 2026 said subscriptions could be cancelled in account settings or by contacting support, with access continuing until the end of the paid period. It did not promise a partial refund for unused subscription days.
The policy provided a 30-day window for billing-error reports, and described a 14-day statutory withdrawal right for initial subscriptions in the EU and UK: a full refund if Premium features had not been used, or a proportional deduction if they had. Moments purchases were normally final, subject to billing errors, applicable law and confirmed broken or glitched-image exceptions; successful generations and cryptocurrency payments carried stricter exclusions.
We did not subscribe, cancel, request a refund or test account deletion. Policies and consumer rights change by date and jurisdiction, so check the current checkout and policy before paying.
Privacy and discretion
The privacy policy reviewed on 14 August 2026 described AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2 or higher in transit, role-based internal access and logged access controls. It said payment-card numbers were not stored directly by Secrets.ai.
The same policy said calls were transcribed in real time, that call audio was deleted, and that text could be retained so a companion could remember. It also listed training and improving AI models among the purposes for processing content.
For account deletion, the policy described immediate removal of profile data and chat history, while allowing certain transaction and security records to remain for legal or operational periods. We did not execute deletion or independently audit those technical controls.
On discretion, the checkout stated that the charge would appear as S LABS INC. That is a relatively neutral descriptor, not anonymity: anyone with access to the payment account can still see the transaction.
We could not reconcile or independently verify the separate marketing language about end-to-end encryption with documents that also describe server-side processing and model-training use. Do not share a real address, workplace, financial details, health information, or anything you would not want stored in an online account.
Is Secrets.ai reliable?
Secrets.ai presented a working logged-in service, accessible legal pages, visible subscription totals and pre-generation cost estimates during our 14 August 2026 session. The chat also produced repeatable, capturable results for immediate recall and for stopping.
The site and policies named Secret Labs Inc., but corporate registration and incorporation country remain NT from the available evidence. A Trustpilot widget appeared in the checkout; we did not independently verify its review count, recency or sample quality, and do not use it as proof of service quality.
The principal reliability concern is informational consistency: the promotional comparison figure did not map cleanly onto the official Premium price. That does not make the service fraudulent, but it reinforces the need to read the billed total before confirming payment.
Secrets.ai compared with Candy AI and OurDream AI
Candy AI offers a more immediately polished onboarding experience, while Secrets.ai exposed more cost detail before media generation in the material reviewed here. Choose between them on the current dated evidence in each review, rather than assuming similarly named features perform alike.
OurDream AI is the more scenario-led alternative in our existing coverage, whereas Secrets.ai emphasizes building and adjusting a companion. Secrets.ai is the more natural shortlist choice when customization and cost visibility matter more than starting inside a prebuilt story.
How the rating was calculated
Every review on this site uses the same nine criteria and the same weights, so the scores can be compared to each other. Each criterion is marked out of 10 from what we actually observed, then multiplied by its weight. A criterion we could only read about, rather than use, is capped at 8.0 — documentation is evidence, but it is weaker evidence than a test.
| Criterion | Weight | Score | Weighted | What decided it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chat quality | 20% | 7.5 | 1.50 | Strong same-session recall and stop control; correction, identity, dependency and multi-day memory all NT |
| Character creation | 12% | 7.5 | 0.90 | Clear nine-step interface; completed result and long-term consistency NT |
| Images & video | 12% | 4.5 | 0.54 | Controls and costs tested, but no output was generated |
| Real pricing & value | 12% | 7.5 | 0.90 | Standard totals documented and the account promotion tested; conflicting promotional anchor |
| Roleplay & immersion | 10% | 8.0 | 0.80 | Coherent consent sequence and immediate stop; long-form repeatability NT |
| Credits & Moments | 10% | 6.5 | 0.65 | Costs visible before action; expensive video and no rollover of the subscription grant |
| Privacy & discretion | 10% | 6.5 | 0.65 | Detailed policy and a neutral descriptor; training use and an unverified encryption marketing claim |
| Free tier | 8% | 5.5 | 0.44 | Useful documented chat allowance but no recurring Moments; clean-account exhaustion NT |
| Cancellation & refunds | 6% | 7.0 | 0.42 | Detailed policy and statutory provisions; cancellation and refund execution NT |
| Total | 100% | — | 6.80 | Rounded to 6.8/10 |
Provisional. Documentation-only claims stay capped, and missing output evidence lowers the relevant criterion rather than being silently removed from the total. A paid benchmark with generated media, a completed call and next-day recall would move this figure — in either direction.

Who should choose Secrets.ai?
Secrets.ai is a sensible candidate for adults who expect text chat to be their main activity, want to shape a companion through a guided creator, and value seeing media costs before spending credits. It also suits users who want occasional images and can budget Moments carefully.
Consider another service if frequent video generation is the priority, if proven multi-day memory is essential before an annual commitment, or if a substantial free media allowance matters. It is also a weak fit for anyone unwilling to place sensitive conversations in a service whose policy allows content processing for model improvement.
Use the AI companion rankings to compare scores and coverage rather than headline ratings alone. A score built without a single generated image is not the same claim as one built with them.
✦ Try Secrets AI free →Final verdict
Secrets.ai combines good same-session chat behaviour, a practical creator, and unusually visible media estimates. The consent-and-stop result was particularly encouraging, because the companion changed course cleanly without the adult exchange needing to appear in the evidence shown here.
The provisional 6.8/10 is held back by the evidence gaps around paid output, voice, corrected memory and multi-day retention — as well as by the high displayed cost of the selected Advanced video setup. A paid benchmark with generated media, a completed call and next-day recall would determine whether the platform deserves to move higher or lower.
