About AI Companion Atlas
What is AI Companion Atlas?
An independent review site for AI companion and AI girlfriend apps. We test each app on a real account, score it on nine published criteria and publish the arithmetic, so you can disagree with it. Reviews are in English and German, with French and Spanish under way.
How does AI Companion Atlas make money?
Affiliate commissions, plus one clearly labelled ad slot on some reviews. Neither buys a review, a score or a position. How this works.
Where does a score come from?
Nine criteria, each scored out of 10 and weighted, from chat quality (20%) to cancellation (6%). A criterion we could only read about, not test, is capped. The full grid for every app is on the ranking page.
How often are reviews checked?
Every review shows the date it was last checked against the app’s official pages, and the scores above show when the ranking last changed.
Are these apps for adults only?
Most of them, yes: nearly every app we review requires its users to be 18 or older, and several are explicitly adult. Each review states the minimum age the app sets and how, if at all, it checks it.
Are AI companion apps private?
It varies a lot, and none of them is good: across nineteen apps our privacy score runs from 1.0 to 6.5 out of 10. Who can read what you type explains what to check before you sign up.
