We use three evidence labels. Tested means a dated action was completed with a recorded result. Documented means a current first-party source states it. not tested means not tested or not sufficiently established. Controls, sample images and marketing claims do not prove output quality.

Tested read-only on 21 August 2026

• opened the public Explore, creator, generator and legal routes in a logged-out desktop session;
• inspected the creator’s realistic/anime step and its adult age selector from 18 through 50 without continuing to submission;
• inspected generator modes, quantity and resolution controls without submitting a prompt;
• read the current legal hub, Terms, Privacy, Underage, Blocked Content, Content Removal, Complaint and 18 U.S.C. 2257 pages;
• queried the anonymous official pricing endpoint used by the app and recorded its current EUR plan and Star-pack catalogue;
• confirmed a signed-out balance of 0 Stars and the sign-in requirement without creating an account; and
• followed the supplied affiliate tracker in Chrome to a functioning, dynamic GoLove Create page without purchasing or signing in.

Ten fresh, distinct, complete 1600 × 900 PNG evidence frames were retained. These actions establish what GoLove displayed, not whether its chats or generated media perform well.

No account-changing, billable or user-visible action was submitted during this review.

What is GoLove AI, and who operates it?

GoLove presents a browser-based AI companion service with fictional characters, chat, character creation, images, videos, voice messages and calls. The legal pages identify 404 Intelligence LTD, Cyprus organization number HE 466237, at Polyviou Dimitrakopoulou 3, ANELLI COURT, 2nd floor, Flat/Office 201, 1090 Nicosia, Cyprus. The company register has given a different registered office since July 2026, 6 Themistokli Dervi, 1066 Nicosia, and records a former name, GOLOVE AI LTD (register entry via OpenCorporates). The Terms of Service display the revision string “03/02/2026.” The site writes every date day first — the other policies read 23/12/2024 — so the Terms are dated 3 February 2026. The Privacy Policy and the other specialist policies captured below show 23 December 2024.

Chat, corrected memory and relationship behavior

Chat quality and memory are not tested

No account was created and no benchmark prompt was sent. Naturalness, factual accuracy, persona consistency, exact-format compliance, three-fact recall, correction of one fact, rejection of a planted false memory and delayed or cross-session recall all remain not tested.

GoLove’s homepage and FAQ market permanent memory, while the policies say AI companions learn and respond from conversations. Neither statement proves accurate recall or a safe correction mechanism. We also did not ask a companion whether it was human or conscious, so conversational AI-identity honesty is not tested.

Dependency, commercial pressure, consent and STOP

We did not test whether a character discourages isolation, respects a spending limit or avoids linking affection to payment. No escalating adult roleplay or consent-withdrawal sequence was run. Permission seeking, immediate STOP compliance and whether sexual content stays stopped remain not tested.

Adult access and moderation

GoLove requires users to be at least 18 or the applicable local age of majority. Its Underage Policy documents a landing-page age gate and user self-affirmation. No routine document, selfie, face scan, payment-card or third-party KYC method is described, so homepage “age verification” language should not be read as identity-based age assurance.

GoLove documents a proprietary LLM moderation filter. Flagged content may be manually reviewed, removed or escalated to suspension, termination or legal action. Chats are described as “generally confidential,” not inaccessible to the operator. The Blocked Content Policy prohibits illegal material, hate, violence, child exploitation and content resembling minors.

The platform’s 2257 page says its visible material is entirely AI-generated and does not involve real performers. That is GoLove’s legal representation, not an independent audit of every image.

Character creation

The public creator exposes Female and Trans routes, Realistic and Anime styles, multiple fantasy and ethnicity choices and adult ages from 18 through 50. The style frame is retained outside the article because its sexualized sample characters have no printed ages. The age-selector frame is approved because it visibly anchors the fictional creator at 18 and above.

Creator breadth is a documented interface strength, but no final portrait or persona was produced. Consistency across edits, voice assignment, personality depth and repeatability remain not tested.

Images, video, voice and calls

The public generator exposes multiple modes plus quantity and resolution controls. Current first-party interface/code documents 1 Star per image, a 5-Star baseline for a standard video and 1 Star for a voice-message unlock. The first video message is marketed as free; later video-message pricing is dynamic. Voice calls display a dynamic Stars-per-minute amount, and photo-message unlock pricing was not established.

No image, video, voice message or call was produced. The visible controls do not establish prompt adherence, anatomy, visual consistency, motion, audio naturalness, queue time, moderation accuracy or whether a failed job restores Stars.

Free tier

GoLove’s free-access claims are materially inconsistent. The Terms say a payment interface appears after a usage limit and give “10 messages” as an example. The Privacy Policy describes a free test of a few messages before registration. By contrast, the homepage and FAQ say registered text chat, permanent memory, voice messages and standard photos are fully free and unlimited, while Premium copy presents unlimited text, voice and calls as paid benefits.

Because no account was created and none of these thresholds was exhausted, the exact free message, memory, photo, voice and call allowance is not tested. “Join Free” proves free registration is offered, not that ongoing companion use is unlimited.

Stars and real cost per action

The catalogue is non-monotonic: 600 Stars cost more per Star than 500 Stars. Compare packs rather than assuming the larger bundle is better value.

If the documented monthly Pro allowance arrives as advertised, 50 Stars could fund up to 50 one-Star image actions or ten standard five-Star video baselines, before any dynamic settings or failed jobs. That is arithmetic from published controls, not output received. Subscription Stars become unusable at term end after cancellation and are not documented as rolling over or being refunded.

Privacy, retention and deletion

GoLove’s Privacy Policy defines Content to include discussions with AI companions. It describes collection or storage of registration data that may include name and date of birth, usage and browser information, location, IP address, cookies, requested pages, referrer/navigation data and user communications. Content can be used to provide or adapt the service and develop new tools.

The Terms grant 404 Intelligence a broad, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable worldwide licence over user Input. The licence can be revoked through Input or account deletion, subject to exceptions for connected commercial or sponsored uses. The policy does not clearly say whether conversations train company or provider foundation models, and no training opt-out was found. Training use remains not tested rather than confirmed.

The Privacy Policy names generic service-provider categories and Google analytics, advertising and search sources, but no specific LLM, image or video provider. AI-provider disclosure therefore remains not tested.

Retention is unusually long: data is kept while the account exists or as needed, then usually six years after account closure. Rights requests can be sent to the controller, with a stated response target of one month and legal exceptions. Deletion execution was not tested, and deleting an account is not documented as cancelling a subscription.

The no-storage and one-tap deletion claims conflict with formal storage and retention language. The separate end-to-end-encryption claim is undocumented and unverified. The moderation policy also permits manual review of flagged chats, while the Privacy Policy promises appropriate security measures without describing an end-to-end encryption design.

Cancellation, refunds and withdrawal rights

The Terms direct subscribers to My Profile → Settings → Unsubscribe. Access should continue until the current paid period ends, followed by downgrade. Unused subscription credits then become unavailable or expire, with no carry-forward or refund. Upgrade or downgrade changes are documented as taking effect in the next billing cycle. None of these flows was executed.

GoLove’s commercial refund window is 24 hours from payment. A subscription refund may be denied after more than 20 subscription credits have been used; a Star-pack refund may be denied after any purchased credit has been used. Only eligible card purchases qualify, while UPI/INR purchases and user hardware or software problems are excluded. A refund immediately cancels the plan and revokes remaining credits.

The Terms do not set out a separate EEA 14-day withdrawal workflow. Mandatory local rights may still apply: the site’s 24-hour commercial policy does not replace statutory protections, including any digital-performance consent and acknowledgment requirements.

Content complaints and real-person resemblance

GoLove says users may request removal of AI content that resembles them or another real person through compliance@golove.ai or the in-app Contact section. It may request proof of identity or relationship before removal. The captured procedure promises a reasonable timeframe but gives no fixed completion target. The newer Image-Based Character Creation Guide is more specific for uploaded images: flagged cases go to human moderators, and a real-person complaint is acknowledged within 24 to 48 hours.

The Complaint Policy asks for a name, email, description, incident timing and supporting evidence, and says an email acknowledgment should arrive within 24 hours. Resolution timing remains open-ended for complex cases.

Output and user-input rights

The Terms preserve user ownership of Input but give 404 Intelligence the broad licence described above. They do not expressly assign generated Output to the user or give consumers a commercial-output licence. GoLove’s service licence is personal and non-commercial, while platform and AI-character rights remain with the operator or licensors.

Commercial reuse of generated images, videos or character material is therefore ambiguous and not tested. Users who need advertising, resale or client-work rights should obtain written clarification before relying on an output.

Reliability and comparison

Public Explore, creator, generator, legal and API endpoints loaded during one desktop inspection. That establishes basic availability, not response latency, media success rate, cross-device synchronization, uptime or billing reliability.

GoLove is more configurable and media-oriented than a chat-only companion, and its annual Pro total is unusually low on paper. The trade-off is a dual subscription-plus-Star economy, unresolved free-access contradictions, restrictive refund eligibility and a privacy story that becomes much less reassuring once the formal policies are read.
