DarLink AI review 2026: pricing, tokens and our free image test
Cindi Misti Cristi is a public DarLink profile labelled age 25 in a direct site capture supplied on 20 August 2026. The profile image shows three adult fictional women in lingerie without nudity. It is a catalogue example, not media generated during our test.
Editorial update — 20 August 2026: we refreshed the logged-in interface, all three billing tabs, token packs, operator details and policies. The completed Free-account actions remain dated 14 August 2026.
DarLink produced one real Free-trial image during our logged-in test. It arrived in about 40 seconds, broadly kept Hana Maho’s anime style, black dress and backstage setting, and did not reduce the visible two-token balance. It also made the dress much more revealing than our explicitly clothed, non-nude prompt requested. One output is useful evidence, but it cannot establish a reliable quality rate.
The companion side remains far less proven. This was an existing account with four earlier messages; our first new message reached a five-message subscription gate and received no character reply. Chat quality, memory, AI identity, dependency behavior, consent, stopping, voice and sustained roleplay therefore remain not tested. Current prices and token packs are unusually visible, but the Coins/Tokens terminology, savings badges, privacy language and refund routes contain material inconsistencies.
| ★ Overall score | 4.9 / 10 provisional |

Short verdict
Our rating: 4.9/10 provisional. DarLink combines a capable-looking creator, one completed Free-trial image and clear plan cards, but the core companion experience remains mostly untested and several commercial or privacy claims do not reconcile cleanly.
- Best for — adults who enjoy browsing or configuring characters and want to sample an image workflow before considering a short subscription.
- Know before you pay — subscription access, monthly message allowances and media tokens are separate parts of the offer, and the advertised savings percentages do not match every displayed price.
- Limits — no character reply, memory test, consent/stop sequence, saved custom character, video, voice, checkout, cancellation or refund was completed.
DarLink AI at a glance
| Question | Evidence-led answer |
|---|---|
| Is DarLink AI free? | Limited access exists. In our existing account, the fifth total message reached a subscription gate. DarLink does not publicly define whether that allowance is lifetime, renewable or account-specific. One dated image was labelled Free trial. |
| Did chat work? | We could open the chat area, but our new test message produced no reply because the account reached its gate. Chat quality is NT. |
| Did memory work? | NT. No character reply means no same-session, corrected or multi-day memory result. |
| Was consent or stopping tested? | No. Adult roleplay, consent escalation and stop compliance remain NT. |
| Did an image generate? | Yes. One safe prompt produced an adult anime-style output in about 40 seconds, with partial prompt adherence and no observed balance change. |
| Did a video generate? | No. Video controls were visible, but output quality and actual debit remain NT. |
| Were voice features tested? | No. The plans advertise six or ten voices depending on tier, but we did not hear or compare them. |
| What is the rating? | 4.9/10 provisional |
How we tested DarLink AI
We separate completed actions, current first-party documentation and NT items. A visible button, feature list or token rate is not treated as proof of performance.
Completed actions — 14 August 2026
- used an existing logged-in Free web account in English;
- opened Hana Maho’s profile, where age 36 was printed;
- recorded a visible balance of two tokens;
- established that the account already contained four earlier messages;
- sent one new non-explicit message and encountered the five-message subscription gate without a reply;
- submitted one safe image prompt specifying an adult, a fully clothed black evening dress, a backstage setting and no nudity;
- received one image in about 40 seconds;
- compared that output with the prompt and source style;
- observed the labels Free trial and Public on the result;
- observed no change from the displayed two-token balance after that single result; and
- inspected 5-second and 10-second video controls and a subscription gate without producing a clip.
The unchanged balance and Free-trial label were observed together. They do not prove a universal free-image allowance or causation. The account was not new, so its balance and message history are not signup promises.
Non-mutating live refresh — 20 August 2026
- confirmed the connected DarLink account and current catalogue;
- inspected the opening public profile labelled age 25;
- reopened the character creator and current image/video controls;
- confirmed that the recent-generation area did not expose the old output as stable current evidence;
- refreshed monthly, quarterly and yearly plan cards;
- captured all six current token packs;
- refreshed cancellation, refund, Terms, Privacy and operator sources;
- verified the public Atlas URL, canonical and internal affiliate CTA; and
- performed no purchase, message, generation, call, character save, cancellation, refund or deletion.
Not tested — NT
- a clean account’s exact free-message or free-media allowance;
- any character reply, response latency or conversational consistency;
- same-session correction, memory after 24 hours or cross-chat memory;
- AI-identity honesty, dependency handling or commercial honesty;
- consensual adult escalation followed by a clear stop;
- French-language chat;
- end-to-end character creation and saving;
- a second image, failed-job handling or paid token debit;
- any completed video, voice output or call;
- checkout, tax, processor, real renewal debit or card descriptor on a statement;
- token expiry, rollover or failed-generation refund;
- cancellation, refund, withdrawal, data export or account deletion in practice; and
- official mobile applications.
What is DarLink AI and who operates it?
DarLink is an adults-only web platform combining public character profiles, custom-character controls, text chat, image and video generation, voice claims, tiered memory and roleplay modes. Its interface encourages both browsing existing community profiles and creating a new companion.
The Terms name FameLink SA and Swiss UID CHE-443.347.069; both the Terms and Privacy Policy list Les Mengartes 37, 2828 Montsevelier, Jura, Switzerland. Both pages display “Last Updated: August 2025.” The official Swiss register showed the company as existing on 20 August 2026, with its seat in Val Terbi and register number CH-670-3009870-9.
The live product names Essential, Advanced and Ultimate, while the Terms still describe Standard and Influencer-Specific subscriptions and refer to virtual currency as something that may be implemented. Those differences suggest that parts of the contract text have not kept pace with the current interface.
Chat, memory and commercial honesty
Our test did not produce a new character reply. The old account already had four messages; the next message reached a gate referring to five free messages. That demonstrates the state of this account on 14 August, not a documented universal allowance.
The current chat history was visible during the refresh, but it contains private account conversation data and is excluded from publication. We did not use old snippets to infer current quality. Naturalness, personality fidelity, hallucination rate and response speed remain NT.
Memory, identity and dependency
Basic, Enhanced and Living memory appear as plan claims. No recall protocol was completed. We also obtained no evidence for whether a DarLink character truthfully identifies itself as AI or responds safely to emotional dependency. All of those behaviors remain NT.
Commercial honesty
We did not ask a character about price or subscription limits. Product claims are therefore checked against interface and policy sources, not against character statements.
Adult access, consent and moderation
DarLink’s Terms require users to be at least 18. Registration relies on the user’s age representation; DarLink says it may suspend an account and request verification when it suspects underage use. We did not encounter an identity-document or third-party age-verification flow.
The current Terms visibly restrict accounts and service use to people aged 18 or older. This frame does not prove systematic identity verification.
The policy set describes automated filtering, possible staff review, content removal, suspension and reporting to authorities. One-to-one conversations may be private from other users, but that is not the same as being inaccessible to DarLink or its processors.
There is a material content-policy conflict. All three plans advertise NSFW, and the live tool labels itself an “AI Porn Generator,” while the Terms prohibit pornographic or sexually explicit content and permit only some adult-oriented conversation. We did not test where the operational boundary sits.
Consent and stopping behavior also remain NT because no adult roleplay reply was produced. A paywall or policy statement cannot substitute for a completed stop test.
Distinctive feature: creator breadth and public profiles
The current creator opens with female, male and futa choices plus Realistic, Anime, Furry, Fantasy and Cartoon styles. The wider historical walkthrough also exposed appearance, personality, voice, relationship and occupation controls. We did not complete or save a custom character, so setup reliability and final character fidelity remain NT.
The public catalogue is visually broad and credits profile creators. That attribution helps readers understand that community quality can vary. It also means one profile or scenario should never stand in for the whole service.
The publisher-selected opening capture shows the public Cindi Misti Cristi profile labelled age 25. Other current catalogue and creator frames contain age-unclear imagery and are preserved as evidence but excluded from publication.
Image generation
The strongest hands-on evidence is the one completed Free-trial image. We asked for Hana Maho, clearly adult at 36, fully clothed in an elegant black evening dress backstage, with tasteful editorial framing and no nudity. The result arrived in about 40 seconds.
The output broadly matched the adult anime presentation, red hair, black dress and backstage-like setting. Clothing control was weaker: the neckline was far more revealing than requested. No explicit nudity appeared, but this was not a strong pass for a precise “fully clothed” constraint.
One output cannot establish consistency, failure rate, resolution, download behavior or paid value. The current generator screen exposed existing-character/new-image options, parameter or text-prompt methods and a Standard/Pro presentation, but no new generation was triggered.
The current image interface exposes configuration choices and an empty output area. It does not prove generation quality, completion time or token debit.
The dated result was labelled Public. We did not prove how widely it became discoverable, change its visibility or test deletion propagation. Treat visibility as something to check before entering a sensitive prompt.
Video and voice
Historical controls exposed 5-second and 10-second choices, followed by a subscription gate. No clip was produced. The refreshed video interface showed character, action, base-image and optional-prompt controls, but no current price in the captured state.
The live video workspace shows configuration fields and an empty output area. No video was created, so motion, identity consistency, safety, resolution, timing and debit remain NT.
The plan cards advertise six standard voices on Essential and ten premium voices on Advanced and Ultimate. We did not hear speech, compare voices or measure latency. DarLink does not establish call quality through those plan claims.
Free access
DarLink publicly acknowledges a free/basic tier but does not publish a stable numeric allowance for clean accounts. In our existing account, the fifth total message reached the subscription gate and produced no reply. It is not defensible to turn that result into “five lifetime messages” for every user.
The same dated account produced one image labelled Free trial without an observed balance reduction. We did not create a new account, exhaust a current allowance or prove whether the trial renews. The Free tier therefore demonstrates narrow product access, not enough evidence to judge the companion experience.
DarLink AI pricing
The connected web account displayed US-dollar prices on 20 August 2026. Monthly cards show full monthly charges. Quarterly and yearly cards show monthly equivalents plus “billed quarterly” or “billed yearly”; the totals below are arithmetic implications, because we did not open or complete checkout.
Monthly plans
| Plan | Monthly charge | Monthly allocation claim | Message claim | Other advertised features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $12.99/month | 100 coins | 6,000/month | 6 standard voices, Basic memory, Quick roleplay |
| Advanced | $27.99/month | 300 coins | 9,000/month | 10 premium voices, Enhanced memory, Deep roleplay |
| Ultimate | $49.99/month | 500 coins | Unlimited | 10 premium voices, Living memory, Unlimited/Elite roleplay |
Prices read in a connected US-dollar account on 20 August 2026. Allocation and message figures are platform claims, not measured consumption.
The logged-in US-dollar interface showed $12.99, $27.99 and $49.99 monthly on 20 August 2026. The countdown and promotional badges are platform marketing, not permanent facts.
Quarterly and yearly billing
| Plan | Quarterly equivalent | Implied quarterly charge | Yearly equivalent | Implied yearly charge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $10.99/month | $32.97 | $9.99/month | $119.88 |
| Advanced | $21.99/month | $65.97 | $18.99/month | $227.88 |
| Ultimate | $39.99/month | $119.97 | $32.99/month | $395.88 |
The implied charges are our arithmetic on the displayed monthly equivalents, not separate checkout totals. Checkout, tax and renewal wording remain NT.
The quarterly tab gives monthly equivalents and says billing is quarterly. The full charges above are three-month arithmetic; checkout, tax and renewal wording remain NT.
The yearly tab gives monthly equivalents and says billing is yearly. The full charges above are twelve-month arithmetic; no payment was initiated.
The quarterly tab advertises “SAVE 15%,” although the reductions against the monthly cards vary by plan at approximately 15.4%, 21.4% and 20.0%. The yearly “SAVE 44%” badge is further from the displayed math: the reductions are approximately 23.1%, 32.2% and 34.0%. DarLink may use another reference basis, but it is not explained in the inspected state.
Coins, tokens and real action costs
The plan page calls the monthly allocation Coins, while media costs and the purchase page use Tokens. The purchase page also says Tokens cover images, videos and interaction with AI characters even though plans list message quotas separately. We found no clear public reconciliation of those units.
DarLink’s current plan page documents 2 tokens per image and 20 per video. Real chat consumption, failed-generation charges, expiry and rollover remain NT.
Current token packs
| Pack | Price | Approximate price per token |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | $9.99 | 9.99¢ |
| 350 | $34.99 | 10.00¢ |
| 550 | $49.99 | 9.09¢ |
| 1,150 | $99.99 | 8.69¢ |
| 3,750 | $299.99 | 8.00¢ |
| 7,500 | $599.99 | 8.00¢ |
Pack prices read on the live token page on 20 August 2026. The unit costs are our arithmetic. No pack was purchased, and tax, refundability, expiry and whether purchased tokens can be used without an active subscription remain NT.
The live token page showed six US-dollar packs on 20 August 2026. No pack was purchased, and tax, refundability, expiry and whether purchased tokens can be used without an active subscription remain NT.
The 350-token pack costs essentially the same per token as the 100-token pack despite a “Save 20%” badge. Larger badges rely on crossed-out reference prices that are not explained. Compare the actual amount and unit cost, not the badge.
If Coins and Tokens operate one-for-one, the visible pack rates imply roughly $0.16–$0.20 per two-token image and $1.60–$2.00 per twenty-token video before tax. Because DarLink’s terminology is ambiguous and no paid debit was observed, these are conditional estimates rather than guaranteed costs.
Cancellation, renewal and refunds
The Terms say subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled. They say a web subscription can be cancelled in account settings or through support and remains active through the current paid term. The standalone Refund and Cancellation Policy instead says cancellation takes effect when support receives written notice. We did not execute either route, and actual card or cryptocurrency renewal handling remains NT.
The August 2025 policy says written cancellation is handled by support, access runs to the period end and voluntary cancellation does not refund the current period or its tokens.
Refund wording also conflicts. The Terms say a request within 24 hours with minimal use may be considered at DarLink’s discretion and direct contact to [email protected]. The standalone policy uses a different, grounds-based scheme through [email protected], naming verified fraud, platform or billing error, or termination without user fault. Change of mind, accidental purchase, voluntary cancellation and unused time are excluded there. That standalone page mentions monthly and annual subscriptions even though the live product also sells a quarterly term.
The 24-hour wording is not a guaranteed refund right or general cooling-off period. Mandatory consumer rights may still apply depending on jurisdiction and the digital-service consent obtained at checkout; that final consent was NT.
DarLink documents the statement descriptor as DARLINK AI. It also says that a payment dispute may involve sharing relevant account and communication records, including private messages when necessary, with the processor or bank.
Privacy, training and deletion
DarLink’s Privacy Policy says text and voice messages, plus images sent during chats, can be stored and analyzed with automated tools. It describes using interactions and usage patterns to improve the platform and gives training on anonymized conversations as an example. No model-training opt-out is clearly published.
The policy also covers device identifiers, IP address, browser, region and session logs, and sharing with service providers, affiliates, authorities and a potential acquirer. It names Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel. We found no fixed retention schedule or full subprocessor list.
Deletion is described as removal from active databases, while backups and records needed for legal duties may remain for an unspecified period. The Terms elsewhere use broader language about deleting associated data. Because we did not delete the account, the actual timing and completeness remain NT.
The “Fully private” subscription headline should be treated as marketing. Private from other users is not the same as inaccessible to automated systems, staff reviewers or service providers. Avoid real names, contact details, workplace information, financial data, health information or secrets about other people.
Public consumer terms do not clearly grant ownership or general commercial rights over AI outputs and explicitly limit the service to personal, non-commercial use unless DarLink provides a separate written agreement. Users retain rights in original submitted content but grant DarLink a broad, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable and sublicensable licence. The publisher separately confirms authorization for this review’s evidence pack; that permission does not change the consumer-facing ambiguity.
Reliability and transparency
DarLink is accessible and the current product exposes meaningful price information. Its named Swiss operator is verifiable, the plan cards show allowances, and the token page gives six actual pack prices.
Confidence falls because several important statements do not align:
- NSFW and “AI Porn Generator” marketing versus contractual restrictions on explicit content;
- Essential/Advanced/Ultimate in the product versus older plan names in the Terms;
- live Coins and Tokens versus Terms discussing currency as conditional;
- token use for character interactions versus separate message quotas;
- promotional savings badges versus the displayed price arithmetic;
- settings-or-support cancellation versus written-support cancellation; and
- broad deletion wording versus unspecified backup and legal retention.
These are not proof that the service fails, but they increase the burden on a buyer to retain checkout and cancellation evidence.
DarLink compared with other AI companions
DarLink offers more visible creator breadth and cheaper stated image actions than some adult companion products, but this test provides less chat evidence than our Xotic, Secrets or OurDream reviews. The comparison should therefore focus on evidence coverage rather than declaring a memory or roleplay winner.
Readers can compare Secrets AI for a stronger dated roleplay protocol, OurDream AI for another completed image test, Xotic AI for a more detailed token rate card, and the AI companion rankings for the same fixed-denominator method.

Every category remains in the denominator, including companion features we could not complete. The exact weighted total is 49.30/100.
| Category | Weight | Score /10 | Weighted | Evidence summary |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chat quality | 20% | 4.0 | 8.00 | Gate verified, but no reply or memory result |
| Character creation | 12% | 6.0 | 7.20 | Broad controls inspected; no character completed or saved |
| Images and video | 12% | 5.0 | 6.00 | One image completed with mixed adherence; video NT |
| Real pricing and value | 12% | 7.0 | 8.40 | Three cadences and allocations visible; checkout and paid value NT |
| Roleplay and immersion | 10% | 4.0 | 4.00 | Modes documented; no sustained response or stop test |
| Credits and tokens | 10% | 6.0 | 6.00 | Action rates and six packs visible; terminology and expiry unclear |
| Privacy and discretion | 10% | 4.0 | 4.00 | Named operator, but broad processing, training and retention gaps |
| Free tier | 8% | 4.5 | 3.60 | One Free-trial image; existing-account chat gate and clean allowance NT |
| Cancellation and refunds | 6% | 3.5 | 2.10 | Routes documented but contradictory; execution and outcome NT |
| Total | 100% | 49.30 | Fixed denominator; no coverage normalization |
Weighted calculation: 49.30/100 = 4.93/10, rounded to 4.9. Provisional score — the companion side could not be exercised on this account, and we will update it once a reply, memory and stop protocol has been completed.
Pros and cons
- one actual Free-trial image completed in about 40 seconds;
- broad character-style controls and a sizeable public catalogue;
- adult ages printed on inspected profile pages;
- full monthly prices and longer-term equivalents visible before checkout;
- normal image and video token rates stated publicly;
- six token-pack prices visible in one current screen; and
- a named, currently registered Swiss operator.
- the existing-account message gate prevented any new reply;
- memory, identity, dependency, consent, stop behavior and roleplay remain NT;
- the single image weakened an explicit clothing constraint;
- no current video or voice output was completed;
- Coins, Tokens and message consumption are not reconciled;
- savings badges do not match straightforward price comparisons;
- outputs may be Public and chats can be stored, analyzed and used for improvement;
- policy wording conflicts on adult content, cancellation and refunds; and
- no fixed retention schedule or training opt-out is published.
Who should choose DarLink AI?
DarLink may suit an adult who enjoys selecting or configuring highly visual characters, wants a low stated per-image token cost and is willing to verify the product with a short monthly purchase before making a longer commitment.
It is a poor evidence-based choice for someone who needs a meaningful free conversation test, proven memory, tested voice or video, a clearly guaranteed refund path, predictable training controls or certainty about token expiry. An annual plan is difficult to justify before those gaps are resolved in the buyer’s own account.
Final verdict
DarLink’s most persuasive evidence is visual: a broad catalogue, a capable-looking creator and one completed Free-trial image. The live commercial interface also exposes more pricing detail than the previous article suggested, including six token packs and all three billing cadences.
The companion verdict remains incomplete. No character reply means no honest score for actual memory, consent, roleplay or emotional safety, while privacy and commercial documents contain important mismatches. Use the Free access to inspect the interface, preserve every checkout term and choose the shortest commitment only if the exact feature you want can be benchmarked immediately.
